When it comes to outdoor adventures, what SUV could possibly out-do the Ford Expedition? It's right in the name!
The Expedition is rugged, partially sharing its platform with the F-150. It can handily tow campers and boats, and haul tents and toys in its spacious cargo area. What's a trip without company? As a three-row SUV, it has the capacity to seat eight friends to take along for the trek.
But what if it had even more capability than that? The 2018 Expedition FX4 Off-Road Package answers that question, while posing a new one.
Thick all-terrain tires add traction over loose soil and smooth out rough bumps, while seven different skid plates protect the underbody from harm. A limited-slip differential sends the Expedition's 470 pound-feet of torque to wheels on whichever side of the vehicle needs it more, and a Terrain Management System uses seven presets to optimize traction and fuel economy.
The question is now, what can't you do in the 2018 Expedition?
